Contest winner!!

Meet Nathan. His mom won my blog contest a few weeks ago, and we met this morning for their free mini session. He was a cutie, though a little unsure of the crazy woman wielding the camera... I can't blame him there!

Cora has a beautiful smile and it was an honor to meet with her and her husband Sean this week. Sean has his own photography business, and it's always most intimidating to shoot in the presence of one of your own. That being said, Cora and Sean welcomed me into their home like I was an old friend, and I had a blast with them!

Since I've already shared with Mom and Dad, I thought I'd post a few of my absolute favorites from this session.  Though I'd be lying if I said they weren't all close to being my favorites.

Quite often when I meet new families, I'm lucky enough to have a connection with them immediately. Almost as if I've known them forever, and yesterday's session was no different. These two parents have the sweetest wedding story, and they love their daughter to pieces. How could you not, she's incredibly sweet herself!

Little Olivia

There's something amazing about meeting a family that has just welcomed a teeny little baby into their lives. There's this unsaid sense of joy, awe, and happiness that you can just feel when you walk into the home. Olivia's house was no exception. This little lady is just 11 days old, and about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

I got to meet these two little ladies bright and early on Sunday morning for a session in a beautiful park near my house.  The girls were super sweet, and we were entertained for quite some time by a passing squirrel who Rachel decided wanted to be her best friend. 

...and we have a winner!!!

We did this in a very high tech, super complicated way.

I've been busy over the past few days working very hard at getting the new website up and running.  In honor of the site's launch, I thought it might be fun to get a little input from the audience and offer the opportunity to win a free session with me.  

Here's what you have to do.  Scroll down and choose which adorable picture you'd like to see on the main page of the new Crista Acosta Photography website.  It's that simple! 

Voting will close on Wednesday May 28th 2008.  One winner will be chosen at random, and that person will win a FREE 30 minute mini session and 10 full resolution, processed images on disk. Over $100 value!! 

Okay, so here's the fine print.

-You must be local in Connecticut.  

- Session must be completed by June 30th, 2008.

- Limited to four people photographed.  Remember, it's only a 30 minute session so there won't be time for group and individual shots of everyone.  You may want it to be just just the family, the kids, or you and your loved one.  Your choice!  

- You can only enter ONCE!  Please post a comment in this thread with your choice, your first name and the first letter of your last name.  Only comments in this thread will be eligible for entry. 

-Winnings can be transferred.  Feel free to send the link and have your mom, aunt, friend, or whoever enter for you as well.  Or feel free to enter with the intention of giving the session to someone else if you'd like.  

- Deadline for entry is Wednesday May 28th 2008 at midnight.  We will draw the winner on Thursday morning and the winner will be announced on the blog by Thursday afternoon.

- Winner must be willing to sign a model release allowing me to use the images from the session for promotional purposes, blog, website, etc.

Little Miss J

My sweet niece.  I've adored this little girl since she was born, and now that she's (almost) four, she's even more fun.  She's a beautiful little spunky thing, and I love hanging out with her.  I told her yesterday that if I ever have a daughter, I hope she's just like her!

I got together with these two sweet girls this morning for a little photo session.  Don't let the sunny pictures fool you, it was chiiiiilly this morning, and we nearly got attacked by a crazy group of ducks.  In any event, they were adorable... which is all that matters!
